Welcome to Te Whakamana Oranga – Mental Health Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is about promoting optimal function in our body that enables us to live life.
Mental health conditions affect:• the way our body moves and feels, • our in-built arousal and energy systems. • how we interact with the world around us and experience pain, Our body affects our feelings. Our feelings live in our body.
Mental Health Physiotherapy is psychologically informed, and neurobiologically based, bringing body, brain and mind together. By working with the body we change our brain, our feelings and mood: this changes how we interact with people and the world around us.
